Demand for the MAVEN Project’s model and services has grown amid widespread telehealth adoption and barriers to specialty care access. As such, MAVEN Project is positioned for significant expansion over the next several years, building resources and capabilities for a model that has been successful nationwide.



Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic IT Project Manager - Business Solutions to join our mission-driven nonprofit organization. Reporting to the CTO, in this individual contributor role, you will serve as the critical bridge between our business stakeholders and technical teams, managing product implementations, feature enhancements, and organizational initiatives from concept through delivery. Working closely with our product owner, business leaders, and development partners, you'll translate business needs into actionable technical solutions while ensuring successful project execution. As a key member of our Project Management Team, you'll bring structure and clarity to our technology initiatives, helping our team of dedicated professionals leverage technology to advance our mission. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact by shaping how technology supports our organization's goals, while working in a collaborative environment where your expertise in both project management and business analysis will be essential to our success.



Core Responsibilities:


The Project Manager owns delivery execution, coordination, and risk management, partnering closely with the Product Owner, who owns product vision and prioritization. Lead end-to-end implementation of new products and features from requirements through delivery. Partner with the product owner to translate product vision into detailed technical requirements and user stories. Facilitate discovery sessions with business stakeholders to capture needs, pain points, and success criteria.



Partner with the Product Owner to support and maintain the backlog of enhancements for existing products, ensuring items are well-defined, sequenced, and ready for delivery based on business value and technical dependencies. Lead project management for additional IT-supported initiatives across the organization, including system upgrades, tool implementations, and process improvements. Develop project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Track project progress against plans, proactively identifying and escalating risks and issues. Coordinate cross-functional resources and external vendors to ensure timely delivery. Serve as a key member of the Project Management Team, supporting organizational project management standards and best practices.



Key Skills:


Strong project management, requirements elicitation, and documentation abilities. Experience managing implementations with external development partners or vendors. Ability to bridge business and technical conversations. Stakeholder management across multiple business units. Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies. Experience with product roadmaps and release planning.



Detailed Responsibilities



Project Management



  • Lead project management for IT-supported initiatives across the organization

  • Develop and manage to project plans including scope, timelines, resources, and budget requirements

  • Track project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies

  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards


Stakeholder Management & Communication



  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development partners

  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and technical constraints into business implications

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all departments

  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate priorities when needed


Documentation & Process



  • Maintain documentation of requirements, decisions, and product configurations

  • Create and update standard operating procedures and user guides

  • Ensure all project artifacts are organized and accessible for future reference

  • Support continuous improvement of PM and BA processes within the organization


Required



  • 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in healthcare, nonprofit, or SaaS environments.

  • Experience working with clients, clinicians, and other stakeholders with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Proactive and innovative problem-solving with strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities.

  • End-to-end thinker able to translate business needs into technical solutions and articulate the “why” behind requirements.

  • Experience with agile and other project management methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor-partner relationships and software delivery lifecycles.

  • Hands-on experience producing BA deliverables (requirements documentation, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria).

  • Proficiency with project management tools, including ClickUp.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred



  • Understanding of data integration, APIs, system interoperability, and reporting systems.

  • Experience with workflow redesign or process design.

  • PMP, CSM, PMI-PBA, Agile Certified Practitioner, or equivalent certification(s).

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • This is a fully remote position; candidates must be comfortable working across time zones in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.

  • Occasional travel (less than 10%) within the US is required.
