About Us:

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” - Nelson Mandela

We believe that even the biggest problems can be broken down into small, achievable steps. Poverty and access to justice are part of the same problem. And to solve this, we just need to discover what the steps are. At Open Door Legal (ODL), we’re pioneering the country’s first system of universal access to civil legal representation to dramatically reduce poverty and prove that the law really can belong to all of us. To achieve this ambitious goal, we’ve created an award-winning and best-in-class legal aid organization full of passionate, motivated, gritty, thoughtful, and team-oriented people.

We believe that injustice is the heart of poverty and we're looking for someone to join us in having a systemic impact on how we, as a society, ensure justice for all.

Overview of Position:

At Open Door Legal, we are creating the first digital platform designed to facilitate universal legal representation at scale. Our goal is to create technology solutions that allow our lawyers and those in other organizations to maximize their impact on the clients they serve. Are you passionate about dramatically reducing poverty and justice through technology and human services? Do you thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment? Do you love a challenge? We want to talk to you!

  • Ensure customer success of Salesforce CMS implementation and full adoption by identifying and addressing customer needs, providing tailored solutions to improve efficiency and satisfaction, and developing personalized implementation plans and training sessions.
  • Collect and share customer feedback and insights with the product team.
  • Ensure the data management practices are aligned with ethics and consumer protection standards.
  • Work with ODL internal and external users to ensure feature capabilities are actualized.
  • Manage the full scope of IT tickets, making code-based bug fixes and enhancements as needed, escalating to appropriate stakeholders as required.
  • Build and maintain a dynamic Salesforce knowledge base and facilitate ongoing learning.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years as an IT professional
  • 1+ years experience utilizing Salesforce or experience with CRM solutions
  • Salesforce Administration Certification or equivalent experience preferred. (Note: If hired and you do not have the certification, you will be responsible for taking and passing the exam within the first six months of employment.)
  • Understanding of Salesforce Apex Language or willingness to learn
  • A technical aptitude for communicating effectively and managing low-code support solutions at all levels
  • A passion for technology and learning
  • Detail- and process-oriented
  • Self-starter approach to complex scenarios and the ability to metabolize and simplify for stakeholders
  • Ability to contribute to building new processes and systems

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with low-income and vulnerable populations.
  • Having lived a significant period of your life in San Francisco proper
  • Non-profit experience
  • Volunteer experience at an organization reducing poverty and/or increasing justice

Starting compensation is $87,000 - $103,000 annually based on experience

Perks:

  • Loan Repayment Assistance - for staff pursuing 10-year public interest debt forgiveness, we will pay the minimum payment on all qualifying loans so that you don’t need to worry about student loan debt (this is a conditional benefit)

  • We are a fun and hard-working office with best-in-class technology solutions for anyone who’s passionate about making a meaningful and measurable difference.
