Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Planner & Analyst to lead our financial planning and analysis function. The FP&A position will oversee the forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes, and provide strategic financial insights to support the organization's growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial management principles and a proven track record of driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making across various business units and projects.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis and ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
- Reporting: Lead the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting. Prepare and maintain management dashboards that provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and other critical metrics.
- Process Improvement: Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
- Strategic Evaluation: Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions to support growth initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
- Experience with inventory management, warehousing, and distribution a plus.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications such as NetSuite. Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and SharePoint is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range
$75,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and based on DC market
Work Location
Hybrid with an office in Old Town Alexandria – minimum 2 days/week in office (Anchor Day – Tuesday)
