Data Science Engineer I

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Science Engineer I to join our team and work with large-scale fintech data. In this role, you’ll apply advanced analytics and machine learning to uncover insights, build intelligence into our platforms, and enable smarter decision-making. You’ll gain hands-on experience with real-world data challenges while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Clean, validate, and organize complex datasets for accuracy and consistency.
  • Build scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows.
  • Analyze and visualize trends to drive actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with developers to deploy models into production.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, etc.).
  • 0–2 years of experience in data science (internships and research welcome).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms (Regression, SVM, Random Forests, Clustering, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Git and basic software development practices.
  • Excellent communication, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with big data systems (HPCC, Hadoop, or Spark).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, Kibana, Power BI, or matplotlib/Plotly).
