HR Assistant

*This is an on-site only position*

Description of Position: As the HR Assistant, you will be responsible for helping ensure smooth HR operations, assisting with recruitment, onboardings, employee relations, and maintaining HR records.

Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities of the position include assisting the HR manager with anything HR related. You will support our Human Resources department in managing a variety of HR functions. The assistant will help with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Other duties may include:

  • Assist in understanding of Visa (F-1, H-1B, etc..) and immigrations laws and how to navigate through them.
  • Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to help with continual improvements within HR and the company.
  • Help compile and update employee records (attendance, EEO data, etc..) according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Help coordinate HR Projects (meetings, trainings, surveys, etc..).
  • Assist with being an HR point of contact for all employee HR related inquires.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc..).
  • Help with the support of complaints and grievances.
  • Help oversee all facets of recruiting within the organization, prepare job descriptions, post job ads, etc.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
  • Help with onboarding and offboarding.
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures.
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
  • Any other duties that may fall under HR as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years work experience in Human Resources support.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to adjust priorities.
  • Talent Acquisition Management.
  • Hands-on experience with HR software platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
