THE ROLE: Safety Coordinator

  • Shift: M-F, 8AM-430PM

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

This job contributes to Evolution Fresh success by leading and engendering world class safety culture and performance. Models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh guiding principles

JOB DUTIES:

  • Prepares, communicates, and educate client groups and teams on changes in policies and practices within the organization
  • Assists the EHS manager in analyzing data and trends to proactively predict and prevent injuries
  • Supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with corporate safety program expectations and applicable federal and state laws
  • Identifies and informs management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly audits
  • Demonstrates and understands safety as a core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution reinforces and coaches others to do the same
  • Understands and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing or distribution environment (2-3 years)
  • Project related support (2 years)
  • Experience with OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910 (1 year)

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross functional projects and activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365 etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College or technical education preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to sit for an extended period of time during work period
