We are seeking a talented Business Operations Manager to join our growing Partnerships team, which works with schools and districts across the country to support them in purchasing and implementing Zearn Math.

Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, this role will lead the operationalization of our lead generation, sales, and account management, ideating new approaches and optimizing our existing processes. The Business Operations Manager will play an important role in our team’s work by managing and increasing the efficiency of large-scale customer launches, implementing a new lead generation approach, and leading the continuous improvement of existing processes.

What This Role Will Do:

Launch Operations

  • Developing and executing an efficient approach to rolling out new large-scale partnerships (e.g, state-wide partnership, large district customer, etc.)
  • Planning launch operations, including creating a fact base to track progress and determining roles and timelines
  • Collaborating cross-functionally on district outreach and kick-off processes
  • Synthesizing and sharing insights from launches to drive continuous improvement, and then implementing new practices based on learnings
  • Managing a Business Operations Associate who supports launch operations (communicates with potential customers, tracks Salesforce data, and reports progress), lead generation operations (sends Marketo campaigns), and data analytics (analyzes data from multiple systems)
  • Supporting the Associate to prioritize and project-manage across shifting tasks and deadlines
  • Coaching the Associate to grow analytical, communication, and project-management skills

Lead Generation Operations

  • Developing a strategy to generate high-quality district leads, including lead scoring and automated campaigns
  • Implementing integration between Marketo and Salesforce by collaborating with Zearn’s marketing, customer success, and engineering teams, as well as an implementation partner
  • Analyzing lead generation data to optimize approach based on learnings and external best practices

Sales Operations

  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of our sales, account management, and lead generation operations, based on internal observations and external best practices
  • Making recommendations for changes to processes, systems, and tools to further automate and improve the efficiency of our work
  • Project-managing the implementation of those changes, including training team on new processes and systems

People Management

  • Managing a Business Operations Associate who supports launch operations (communicates with potential customers, tracks Salesforce data, and reports progress), lead generation operations (sends Marketo campaigns), and data analytics (analyzes data from multiple systems)
  • Supporting the Associate to prioritize and project-manage across shifting tasks and deadlines
  • Coaching the Associate to grow analytical, communication, and project-management skills

What You’ll Bring To The Role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business, sales operations, strategy or management consulting
  • Experience in the field of Education is a plus
  • Proficient with Salesforce, including tracking data and creating reports and dashboards
  • Highly proficient with the MS Office Suite and Google Docs/Sheets. Marketo experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage longer-term cross-functional projects and initiatives from inception to execution in a fast-paced high-growth environment
  • Strong people management skills
  • Humility, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into the tactical alongside the strategic

Location:

This role is remote, however you may be required to travel for business and team building meetings.
