Reporting to the ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES, the STAFF CLINICIAN delivers high-quality, culturally competent, trauma informed clinical services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Adhere to client service schedule set with management: Deliver service to a maximum of 20 hours weekly, in addition to team meetings and training. Actively participate in and attend supervision on a weekly basis. Attend all professional development, orientation, and training sessions, and demonstrate the application of knowledge in service delivery. Deliver, and be able to demonstrate delivery of services in a clinically, ethically, legally, and professionally appropriate manner and in supporting the overall program to meet and exceed these standards. Ensures compliance with agency and program standards, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to information management and confidentiality. Ensures entry of all ETO data within 48 hours of service. Reads and responds to all program related e-mails.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and reliable individual with a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Essential to this role is a demonstrated ability working with culturally and economically diverse individuals and families and ability to work with those impacted by trauma; a demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and to respond appropriately to unexpected situations.

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills to work independently and as part of a team. You must have an understanding of feminism and a strong commitment to social justice. Additionally, an ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and sensitivity to domestic violence and sexual assault issues, trauma, gender equity, and client-centered service provision.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or a related degree. Candidates must by registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Work Associate. Key to success is the ability to be present in a changing work environment; the ability to work independently and as a member of a diverse team with flexibility, initiative, and a sense of humor; and the ability to prioritize effectively and model healthy boundaries with empathy and compassion. Candidates should be competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience in confidential data management and record keeping.

The ideal candidate is a warm, self-starter deeply committed to providing services from a strengths-based, social justice and anti-oppression framework. Prior knowledge of clinical, ethical, and legal aspects of mental health is a plus.

Work hours schedule is TBD. Delivery of service may include overtime to accomplish the task at hand. Work includes lifting up to 25 pounds. Susceptible to compassion fatigue and/or vicarious trauma.

Required: Cleared background check (fingerprinting) and valid TB test. This position requires a Covid-19 vaccination due to the in-person interfacing required to promote the health and safety of others in the workplace and our community. Valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, cleaning driver record, and auto insurance. Candidates must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Social Work Associate.
