Summary
Reporting to the Director of Product, the Sr. Manager of Content Strategy is responsible for coordinating and harmonizing the strategy of Worldreader’s content elements across multiple languages delivered through BookSmart.
You will partner with our Technology, Partnership & Services, and Marketing & Communications teams to foster greater family reading using content elements that include digital books, parenting tips, activities, and other components.
This is a full-time remote position based in Maryland, New York, or Georgia.
Duties/Responsibilities
Content Creation and Management
- Create, edit, and maintain product descriptions, specifications, and multimedia content.
- Manage project-funded content elements such as parenting tips.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Partnership & Services, MarCom, and Advancement teams to gather insights and data.
- Act as a team liaison to ensure alignment and accuracy in product messaging.
- Provide critical support to Worldreader’s multi-year Evidence Journey, specifically in research design and planning.
- Ensure ongoing development of user experience features aligns with evidence goals and assesses key reading comprehension learning outcomes.
Relationship Management
- Act as a client manager overseeing key donor projects and consultant teams, assuring optimal performance to position for future funding opportunities.
- Manage qualitative research components, confirming design protocols are in alignment with Evidence Journey and partnership strategy.
- Manage partnerships that are integral to discrete features within the product (e.g. Reading Challenges).
SEO and Analytics
- Optimize product content for search engines to enhance visibility and drive traffic.
- Analyze how content is being used across regions to help create relevant and contextualized activities, tips, etc.
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure all content adheres to Worldreader’s brand standards and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct regular audits of product content for accuracy and relevance.
Training and Support
- Provide training and support to internal teams on best practices and content management systems.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to streamline workflow.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Familiar with SEO best practices and content management systems (CMS).
- Adept to use data analytics to drive content-related decisions.
- Ability to facilitate design discovery sessions across multiple geographics and cultural contexts.
- Ability to formulate field test protocols for new content types.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling.
- Abreast of artificial intelligence, content management, and analysis trends.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Seven (7)+ years of experience in content management, project management, product marketing, or similar.
- Experience using digital marketing analytics such as Branch.io.
- Knowledge of e-reading document standards such as EPUB.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track content performance.
- Experience using digital reading platforms and addressing accessibility issues.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Salary
$78,000 - 90,000/year
Exact compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
