Background

Worldreader is a global edtech organization dedicated to improving literacy and learning outcomes for young children. With a mission to open up endless possibilities to children through reading and captivating activities, we reach families in more than 100 countries with content that encourages family-centered reading experiences. Together, we can inspire a new generation of confident and smart children wherever they may be.

Summary

The consultant will take direction from the Sr. Manager of Content Marketing and collaborate with Associate Director of Marketing based in Barcelona, Spain. The consultant will be a part of the Marketing & Communications team and autonomously lead our social media channels, influencer outreach, blog writing, and provide support to various content marketing assets.

This is a remote contract position based in the United States.

Rate

$35/hour, $2,800/month, not to exceed $8,400 for entire consultancy.

Timeline

A total of 20 hrs per week, not to exceed 12 weeks in alignment with completed deliverables.

Dates of Engagement

October 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024; likely to renew in 2025.

Start date is subject to change.

Deliverables

  • Social media content creation and management.
  • Social media campaign design support and engagement.
  • Copywriting and blog writing.
  • HubSpot newsletter creation and support.
  • Graphic design support (Canva, social media tiles, short videos, and GIFs).
  • Ad hoc administrative support.
  • EOY campaign support.
  • Outreach support (PR/influencer/blog positioning).

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to consult on content creation that supports business goals.
  • English native speaker.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Jira, WordPress, HubSpot, Google Analytics preferred.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or similar.
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience with similar responsibilities.
  • Advanced experience using CMS Content Management Systems (WordPress) or CRMs such as HubSpot.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
