About the Manager, Talent position
The Manager, Talent plays a central role in ensuring WorkMoney’s recruitment and hiring processes are thoughtful, well-executed, and aligned with our values, policies, and operational needs. In close partnership with the Director, Talent, this role owns day-to-day execution of recruiting and hiring and serves as a trusted operational partner across the organization, stewarding sensitive workforce information, and supporting informed decision-making. By translating hiring priorities into effective, consistent recruiting practices, the Manager, Talent helps strengthen how we identify, assess, and onboard talent, contributing to a hiring function that supports rapid organizational growth, maintains trust and compliance, and delivers a strong stakeholder and candidate experience. This is a time-limited, project-based role, with an expected duration of approximately six months, subject to program needs.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting and hiring for assigned roles, ensuring a consistent, equitable, and high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers across the organization
- Serve as a close operational partner to the Director, Talent, supporting the translation of hiring priorities, workforce needs, and talent strategy into effective recruiting execution
- Partner with hiring managers and stakeholders across the organization to align on roles, screening criteria, interview frameworks, and assessments, and guide timely, compliant hiring decisions
- Ensure recruiting and hiring practices align with internal policies, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and applicable employment laws, escalating issues or inconsistencies as needed
- Integrate sound JustBe practices throughout the hiring lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection
- Manage and optimize recruiting operations and infrastructure, including the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and related talent acquisition tools, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective use across the organization
- Draft, send, track, and maintain recruiting documentation, including offer letters, NDAs, and related records, ensuring timely completion and proper filing
- Draft, revise, and finalize job descriptions in partnership with stakeholders, including routing for review and approval, ensuring alignment with organizational needs, internal standards, and applicable policies
- Support job description lifecycle management, including audits, clean-up, standardization, and maintenance of job description repositories, and contribute to job description management system (JDMS) and job architecture projects as needed
- Coordinate hiring and onboarding logistics, including start dates and onboarding timelines, and support onboarding execution
- Host and manage content for hiring review meetings, ensuring hiring decisions are well-documented, compliant, and informed by relevant data and context
- Partner with external recruiting firms as needed, overseeing the recruiting process, managing workflows, and ensuring alignment with internal hiring standards and expectations
- Proactively source candidates and build talent pipelines to anticipate future hiring needs, supporting workforce planning
- Act in a confidential capacity in support of Administration functions, handling sensitive workforce and labor-related information related to hiring plans and personnel actions
- Monitor recruiting activity and outcomes, maintaining accurate records and reporting, and flagging trends, gaps, or process issues that impact hiring effectiveness or candidate experience
- Identify and proactively surface potential labor-sensitive or workforce-related considerations, including those involving represented roles, ensuring risks, flags, or dependencies are raised appropriately
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruiting processes and candidate experience by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency, clarity, and equity within established frameworks
- Track and regularly report on recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, pipeline health), surfacing risks, roadblocks, or delays in hiring processes, and recommending adjustments as needed
- Maintain knowledge of, comply with, and report on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys being close to the work, balancing structure with flexibility, and solving operational problems in real time while keeping people, equity, and trust at the center.
Must haves:
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or closely related People/HR work
- Demonstrated ownership full-cycle recruiting and using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, with the ability to handle sensitive and workforce information with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion
- Proven experience managing recruiting operations, including hiring workflows, documentation, compliance requirements, and stakeholder coordination
- Experience maintaining and optimizing Applicant Tracking Systems and related recruiting tools
- Experience partnering with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate hiring needs into clear role requirements, structured interview processes, and sound hiring decisions
- Commitment to building people centered hiring practices and a demonstrated ability to integrate DEIABJ principles into recruiting and selection processes
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple recruiting and hiring processes simultaneously, while maintaining timelines and quality standards
- Clear, thoughtful communicator with the ability to build trust, navigate ambiguity, and collaborate effectively across teams
- Results-oriented mindset, with the ability to track progress, identify roadblocks, and contribute to achieving recruiting and hiring objectives
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to recruiting, hiring, and onboarding
- Ability to analyze recruiting data and trends, surface risks or roadblocks, and communicate insights clearly and concisely to support informed decision-making
- Ability to represent and communicate the organization and its roles transparently and thoughtfully to candidates and external partners
- Experience designing and delivering presentations, and facilitating informational sessions for cross-functional partners

- Familiarity with unionized environments and experience working within or alongside collective bargaining agreements
- Familiar with multiple applicant tracking systems (ATS), social media applications, and using various channels to source candidates

The starting annual salary for this role is $103,500.00 annually and as part of our commitment to pay transparency and equity in our organization, the salary for this position is not negotiable.
