About Us

WeVote is a nonpartisan get-out-the-vote nonprofit startup and a celebrated Fast Forward nonprofit technology grantee. WeVote is a movement of over 120 active passionate, part-time volunteers (starting with the founders) who build mobile technologies that will touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. We believe that many voters are busy, distracted, and impatient. We have a goal of providing a positive voting experience that helps people decide how to vote. Role Overview

WeVote has an open volunteering position for a Political Ads Strategist to help strengthen American Democracy. You are an experienced professional (3–5 years) with hands-on campaign strategy and media buying across Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, Reddit, and other platforms. You want to work with an excellent team that is driven and nationally recognized. This position is for 2+ hours per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop strategic campaign plans that drive awareness and engagement with WeVote’s voter education tools
  • Identify target audiences and recommend optimal media channels (digital, social, grassroots partnerships, etc.)
  • Partner with campaign managers and creative leads to ensure messaging aligns with WeVote’s mission and values
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide strategic recommendations for improvement
  • Help set KPIs and benchmarks for advertising initiatives
  • Collaborate with content, design, and engineering volunteers to produce creative assets and landing page experiences that are on-brand and accessible

  • Data-driven mindset with strong spreadsheet skills and experience creating concise performance reports
  • Clear, concise copy and brief-writing skills; ability to translate messaging into testable ad variations
Meticulous about compliance, privacy, and brand safety; working knowledge of platform political ad rules and nonpartisan standards
  • A willingness to work with and support other volunteers; strong communication and documentation habits
  • 2+ hours per week during our core team hours M–F 8 a.m. – 6 p.m
  • You are currently located in the US and can work one or two hours that overlap with US Pacific Time per week
