The opportunity:

We’re looking for a Philanthropic Partnerships Manager to join our team and help accelerate our growth. You’ll partner closely with our Executive Director to raise funds and build new innovative partnerships to support our work and shape our future impact. Our success will ensure we can deepen how we serve the communities where we are currently working across the Global South and grow to reach new communities and people in need around the world.

What you'll work on:

• You’ll help develop and execute a partnership and fundraising strategy to inspire more people, companies, and foundations to join us on our mission to make healthcare a reality for all
• You’ll play a key role in achieving our organization’s collective fundraising goal of $2M in 2023 and build on this momentum in the years to come
• You’ll research and find creative ways to connect with foundations that align with our mission, build proposals that effectively share our story and what we can unlock in partnership, and report on our collective impact
• You’ll help to strengthen and steward our current relationships as well as cultivate new relationships with prospective supporters to help grow our global community
• You’ll actively research, build, and manage a pipeline of prospective supporters moving them toward becoming passionate, engaged partners in our work
• You’ll build out internal systems and processes to ensure we are highly efficient and focused in our approach
• You’ll support our senior leadership and Board to effectively prioritize and focus their fundraising and partnership-building efforts in service of our goals
• You’ll bring creative ideas and an eagerness to pursue new (and often non-traditional) partnerships
• You’ll collaborate with #TeamWatsi to create content, proposals, and materials that showcase our work, demonstrate our impact, and inspire action

Who you are:

• You're passionate about impact—you believe that everyone deserves healthcare and you want your work to help make that a reality by bringing together the power of human connection and technology for good
• You have 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years of relevant fundraising, sales, or partnership-building
• You have a gift for communication and community building in service of creating authentic and meaningful relationships
• You love to write and believe in the power of language to create human connections and convey message + mission
• You’re energized and at ease meeting new people from all walks of life and have a curiosity for what drives them—you love asking questions, listening for and learning what inspires folks, doing research, and connecting dots
• You’re a strategic and systems-level thinker, yet also thrive digging into the details and executing on strategy
• You’re adept at handling multiple, moving action items simultaneously and often asynchronously within our team, utilizing excellent organizational skills to consistently move projects forward and meet targets
• You have an eye for good design and creating beautiful and engaging storytelling materials brings you joy
• You thrive when using data and your insights to design and implement creative, innovative approaches with a bias toward experimentation and continuous improvement

• You will partner with a small, kind, and globally distributed team enjoying a flexible schedule, unlimited PTO, and great benefits (we 💙 healthcare). This opportunity on our team is preferred as a full-time role with a salary range of US$60,000-$85,000 depending on experience
