Research Intern

How you’ll contribute:
The Research Intern will support the Tax Policy Center researchers in gathering information, analyzing data, and communicating findings for (at least) two major research projects. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the Tax Policy Center’s blog or other smaller projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data and research related to federal and state budgets
- Write an analysis of research findings for both an internal and external audience
- Work with teams on large research projects
- What you’ll bring:
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Sociology, Economics, or a related field
- Experience working with Excel and large data sets
- Strong research skills and a familiarity with government reports
- Some knowledge of federal and state fiscal policy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and with a group
