Overview:
Unlocked Labs is hiring an Education + Re-entry Coordinator to lead our in-prison Coding Education program. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Eureka, Missouri. The Coordinator will manage classroom operations, prepare incarcerated learners for re-entry and careers in tech, and cultivate connections to outside employers, alumni, and re-entry support networks.Responsibilities:
- Program Management (Managing the recruitment and enrollment process for students, Maintain class structure, monitor attendance, and manage participant records, Supervise Teaching Assistants)
- Career Readiness & Re-entry Preparation (Lead pre- and post-program career readiness training, including resume writing, interview prep, and professional communication)
- Employer Engagement & Workforce Development (Recruit industry professionals to speak virtually or visit the facility in person to share their career journeys and insights with participants of this program)
- Reporting & Evaluation (Track student progress, graduation rates, and re-entry outcomes)
Qualifications:
- Preferred, Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Workforce Development, Social Work, Computer Science) OR 3+ years of relevant experience working with a similar population.
- Outgoing, positive and generally enthusiastic to support individuals finding employment out of prison, manage relationships with DOC staff everything from PO officers, case managers to the every staff member who works in the warden’s office.
- Familiarity with the tech industry or a willingness to quickly learn core concepts.
- Excellent communication and exceptional organizational skills.
- Professionalism and sensitivity when working in a correctional facility environment.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to commute daily to MECC in Eureka, MO.
- Please note, this is not a remote or hybrid position. Applicants must be available to work onsite, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Unlocked Labs is a non-profit organization that partners with correctional educators and state corrections departments to design technology infrastructure to better deploy programs and track outcomes, in order to understand efficacy and inform best practices in the justice system.
