Finance Director Pro Bono: Global/Remote - Make an Impact!

Job Summary

Pro Bono: The Finance Director manages and establishes sound financial processes and procedures across all levels of the organization. They review all Business Unit Budgets and overall budget for UniversalGiving®. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to sound financial processes and procedures. You may have a first career and want to do this as a second career, or you are financially independent.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage cash and identify savings on expenditures to maximize resources
  • Manage budgeting processes
  • Review budgets for Business Units and UniversalGiving®
  • Review Quickbooks and all categorizations
  • Review tax process and execution
  • Effectively manage audits for the company
  • Manage online and offline donations and disbursements; maintain manuals
  • Ensure quality control on PayPal settings, monitor transactions for red flags & handle special cases as they arise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum seven years of corporate or nonprofit financial management experience
  • Experience with nonprofit finances and accounting practices preferred
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Clear verbal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (some training provided)
  • Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus

Duration and Location

  • Position is available for part-time (5-20 hours per week)

  • We provide remote positions with a highly globally focused team from more than 20 countries, including Russia, China, Japan, Ukraine, Georgia, the Philippines, Haiti, Germany, Canada, the Kurdish population, South Korea, the U.K., Brazil, Kenya, and many more
