Our mission: Underwater Earth is an Australian non-profit, established in 2010, with a global focus - to reveal the ocean to the world using creative storytelling combined with innovative technology. About us: We are the team behind Google Street View Underwater and inventors of the SVII camera. Our 360-degree imagery has become the most viewed underwater imagery in history with views in the billions. We led the XL Catlin Seaview Survey, a project that spanned over five years and involved scientific coral reef surveys across 26 countries, collecting over 1 million panoramic underwater images, resulting in the world’s largest scientific visual archive of underwater environments. Other achievements include: - The announcement, revealing and following of the third global coral bleaching event which in turn, became the subject of a major award-winning Netflix documentary 'Chasing Coral'; - A major exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London; - The launch of 50 Reefs, a global project.
