Tutoria connects people in need with volunteer tutors via our online platform. Volunteers and clients sign up at https // tutoria.io. They select their interests (English tutoring, US Citizenship, or legal aid) and availability. They then connect with one another via direct message.

Why Tutoria? There is a strong demand from immigrants for education and legal services around the world. There is also a large supply of volunteers offering to teach such classes. The bottleneck is that connecting immigrants and volunteers is done manually by non-profit staff, who do not have the capacity to provide matching/scheduling services. Overview

Tutoria is seeking a passionate and dedicated Technical Recruiter to join our team on a volunteer basis to find volunteers for the IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the technical recruiting process and a commitment to finding and screening top talent for our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify potential candidates, in particular software developers
• Screen candidates by reviewing resumes
• Conduct virtual interviews with qualified candidates
• Evaluate candidates' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit
• Coordinate with the IT team to schedule and conduct final interviews
• Attend weekly check-in meetings to discuss recruiting progress and challenges
  
  

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a recruiter
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Proficiency in using recruiting tools and technologies
• Ability to commit 3-5 hours per week, including a weekly check-in meeting
