Job Title: TurnUp College Marketing Manager

About TurnUp (www.turnup.us): Founded in 2019, TurnUp is a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible non-profit organization which comprises the largest youth-led voter registration and turnout initiative in America. Our goal is to close the gap between young people who want to take civic action and those who actually do so. TurnUp’s efforts include four integrated programs to increase youth voter registration and turnout: physical registration & turnout drives, relational registration & turnout drives, grassroots internship program, and digital campaigns. Since 2019, TurnUp has helped to register 250,000+ young voters; text 20 million young voters; talk to 700,000 young voters on the phone; achieve 80 million impressions of our ads making it easy to register or vote; and empower 30,000+ young interns and volunteers to spend 39,000 hours getting out the vote. Job Type: Remote Job

Pay Type: 1099 Contractor.

Pay: – $50/hour. Part Time – Up to 10 hours/week for ~3 months.

Position Description: TurnUp is looking for an experienced and creative college marketing manager to scale TurnUp's marketing efforts for both our voter registration fellowship program and our internship program. The voter registration fellowship program is aimed at community college students in swing states while the internship program is aimed at all college students from around the country. The manager will be responsible for using their skills to innovate upon and scale our marketing campaigns aimed at recruiting students to the two programs. We currently market through career centers and professors but are open to other strategies to increase applications to both programs. The manager must have significant experience marketing to community colleges, colleges, and students.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Analyze our current marketing efforts for the two programs and provide recommendations and testing ideas.
  • Implement recommendations and tests and track progress.
  • Scale the marketing for each program and increase applications.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience marketing to community colleges, colleges and students.
  • Creativity and excitement about developing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to craft engaging marketing content.
  • Organized, able to multitask, and balance multiple deadlines.
  • Self-Starter.
  • Independent worker.
  • Passionate about TurnUp’s mission.
  • Good listener, good problem-solver
  • Detail-oriented and data-driven approach to all tasks, large and small.

Compensation/Benefits: Part Time Contractor – Maximum of 10 Hours/Week at $50/hour
