We believe that everyone should be able to access their civic and activist potential. TurnUp played a significant role in the historic 2020 and 2022 youth voter turnout by reaching over 60 million young voters online, texting 10 million young voters, helping to register 180,00 young voters and completing 20,000 hours of get out the vote volunteering.

Position: Graphic Designer – Part Time – Up to 5 hours/week

Location: Remote

Position Description: TurnUp is looking a creative and motivated Graphic Designer to produce engaging, eye-catching, and on-brand digital projects for Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for generating original content using existing brand assets to superpower our impact on social media (and, at times, around the country with print projects). The Graphic Designer will also help execute social media campaigns aimed at scaling some of TurnUp’s programs including the mobile app and internship training program. The designer will also periodically help with managing TurnUp’s website.

Principal Responsibilities:

· Working closely with the Social Media Manager, execute a long-term strategy for TurnUp’s presence on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

· Ideate and execute designs for a wide variety of digital and print projects, including social media graphics, infographics, videos, digital ads, flyers, etc.

· As needed, execute updates to TurnUp’s website, including generating landing pages

· As needed, support the Social Media Manager in brainstorming and strategy discussions to develop cohesive digital strategies and promote engagement

· Adhere to existing brand guidelines

· Communicate effectively to all stakeholders including interns, managers, and colleagues

Skills and Qualifications:

· Demonstrated portfolio of work that displays talent, creativity, and vision

· Keen eye for design and experience implementing organizational brand standards

· Proficiency in Adobe suite (particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and Canva

· Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

· Ability to turn out graphics quickly

· Strong attention to detail

· Self-starter

· Independent worker

· Organized, able to multitask, as well as balance multiple deadlines

· Passionate about TurnUp’s mission

· Proficiency in Wix for the purposes of updating and creating landing pages (not necessary – can be taught).

Compensation/Benefits: Part Time Contractor – 5 Hours/Week $21/hour based on experience.
