Job Title: Technical Product Manager

Organization: Trans Health HQ

Job Summary: Trans Health HQ is an one-stop shop for healthcare teams and patients centralizing resources around gender-affirming care, which has won awards and achieved widespread recognition across Harvard for its impact on the transgender community's access to high-quality gender-affirming care.

We are an early-stage non-profit seeking a motivated Technical Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of our clinician and patient resource hub, helping us structure and disseminate hundreds of resources to our for 10,000 users. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes for the trans community.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience of the healthcare needs of the transgender and nonbinary community, both frontend and backend web development experience, a strong background in product management and technical architecture, with a deep understanding of Webflow, SEO optimization, and data structuring for content-heavy sites.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop the technical vision and roadmap for Trans Health HQ’s platform
    • Take the project from the MVP (queryable AirTables of resources) to the pilot, prioritizing features for the pilot and future phases (e.g., search function)
    • Architect scalable and flexible backend solutions that can support multiple views of complex datasets
  • Product Development:
    • Oversee or execute on the customization and optimization of Webflow templates
    • Implement SEO best practices to enhance the platform’s visibility and search engine performance
    • Ensure the platform’s responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile optimization
  • Data and Content Management:
    • Design a structured, filterable dataset that allows for efficient content organization and retrieval
    • Develop tagging systems and categorization methods to facilitate easy navigation for users
  • User Experience:
    • Work with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces that guide clinicians and patients to the right resources quickly
    • Gather and analyze user feedback to continually improve the platform’s usability and effectiveness
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights
    • Conduct regular check-ins with the development team to ensure milestones are met on time and within scope

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proven experience in technical product management or technical architecture, preferably with a focus on healthcare, social impact, or content-heavy platforms
    • Proficiency in Webflow, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and web performance optimization
  • Strategic Thinking:
    • Ability to balance short-term MVP goals with long-term scalability and growth
    • Experience structuring complex datasets and designing systems that allow for easy content management and retrieval
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Excellent project management skills with a track record of leading cross- functional teams
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • User-Centric Mindset:
    • Demonstrated ability to create products that improve user experience and drive engagement
    • Passion for improving healthcare outcomes, within the trans community
