The mission of The Ocean Cleanup is to develop advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic.
This is an exciting role that will enable you be part of this mission. We’re looking for someone who is highly capable, dynamic, energetic, and can manage proactively in an fast paced and high pressure environment with multiple priorities. Your main responsibility is to support our CF0, Stacey Santoso, as well as acting as her right-hand person, enabling her to focus on strategic initiatives. Her scope as CFO includes Financial Management and all the enabling functions including the back office and support functions within the organization, which makes the role of the executive assistant somewhat broader and more dynamic.
THE ASSIGNMENT
As the Executive Assistant, you will provide comprehensive assistance to Stacey, enabling her to focus on her primary responsibilities and maximize her time and efficacy. This is an exciting opportunity to support Stacey as well as help with the cross-functional-communication of the Enabling Teams (Finance, Legal, Data & IT, P&O and Supply Chain)

THE ASSIGNMENT
As the Executive Assistant, you will provide comprehensive assistance to Stacey, enabling her to focus on her primary responsibilities and maximize her time and efficacy. This is an exciting opportunity to support Stacey as well as help with the cross-functional-communication of the Enabling Teams (Finance, Legal, Data & IT, P&O and Supply Chain)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage calendar, planning, and scheduling of meetings and teleconferences across different time zones for the CFO office and the team also align with the agenda of the rest of Management team to make sure efficiency including travel arrangements
- Supporting the CFO and the enabling/business operations team in overseeing and coordinating multiple related projects and key deliverables to ensure they align with the organization's goals and following through on issues in a timely manner
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents as needed. This include creating baseline presentations for key meetings
- Team and stakeholder management and communication, making sure the most effective and efficient time management between setting team priorities and managing agendas for personal, internal, and external engagements.
- Organizing and managing key events and offsites for Enabling functions and for the CEO office, include coordinating with internal (and/or external) staffs, other executives assistants, and office managers to accomplish moderately complex activities, such as scheduling, identifying and organizing office events and offsites and developing agendas group meetings or events
- Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Backing up, when necessary for the Executive Assistant to the CEO, Chief of Staff, and for the Office Manager
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven background in business administration or communications is preferred
- Knowledge in project management and managing cross functional deliverables is a plus
- 8+ years of experience supporting at an executive level in a highly professional international environment
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience successfully creating and/or modifying processes
- Near-native English. Dutch is a plus, not a must

- This is a 40 hour per week, full time position.
- Location : The role is based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
