About this Opportunity
Technovation is seeking a part-time coordinator at 20-24 hrs per week for a six-month role to support our Volunteer Engagement Team (VET). This position will work on a range of projects designed to support program operations and ensure volunteers are prepared and resourced throughout their experience with Technovation. This role will assist the VET staff in tasks related to communications, resource management, data organization, and supporting virtual events.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about supporting volunteers and advancing Technovation’s mission to inspire girls and families to become leaders and innovators. The coordinator will work closely with Technovation staff to manage ongoing projects and contribute to the success of our global community of volunteers.

- Administrative and documentation support
- Support Women Techmakers initiatives through administrative tasks. This program is separate from our Technovation Girls program and reaches women over 18 around the world.
- Maintain training materials for volunteers within the Learning Management System (LMS).
Indicators of Success
Since this is a temporary position, we will develop a lightweight 30-60-90 day plan that outlines specific goals for the individual’s first three months at Technovation. These goals may need to be flexible based on volunteer support needs that arise during the time period for the position. In general, the activities completed by the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator should support our organizational goals of:
- Improving upon and developing new support materials for mentors and volunteers
- Increased activity on the online community platform (as measured by posts viewed, interacted with, and new content generated)
- Increase in the number of mentors who are matched with student teams
- Increase in the number of Industry mentors that are matched with a submitting team
- Quickly monitoring judge scoring and responding to judge feedback
Ideal Candidate:
- Has 2+ years of experience working with volunteers and students in a nonprofit or education setting; especially involving mentorship and building relationships
