Techbridge is dedicated to advancing equitable workforce development opportunities for nontraditional students pursuing or continuing careers in technology through our Technology Careers Program. We collaborate with employers, educators, and community partners to create transformative learning experiences that promote economic mobility.
The Technology Career Program (TCP) is an innovative workforce development program that trains individuals for careers in high demand technology fields. TCP provides comprehensive technical skills training and certification, professional support, job training, financial services and career placement services for low-income adults who possess a high school diploma or GED. We serve a diverse student body which includes high school graduates with limited access to traditional universities, military veterans and career changers are trained for high paying jobs in the technology sector.
Overview
The Director of Programs will lead a dynamic team of experts, practitioners, and technologists to design, develop, and implement innovative workforce development programs for both adult and youth learners. This role oversees the full program lifecycle—including securing program funding, strategy, recruitment, enrollment, curriculum development, instructor engagement, data management, and program evaluation—to ensure impactful outcomes and sustainable growth.
Reporting to the COO, the Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of workforce learning at TCP, driving new initiatives, building strategic partnerships, and cultivating a high-performance culture of learning and innovation.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Program Management
- Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of workforce development programs for adult and youth learners.
- Oversee all day-to-day operations, including admissions, curriculum management, instructor networks, data systems, and program assessment.
- Evaluate and refine current strategies and structures to strengthen program effectiveness and scalability.
- Partner with the COO to align initiatives with organizational goals, funding strategies, and long-term growth plans.
Curriculum & Learning Innovation
- Develop and implement high-quality, research-driven educational materials, professional development resources, and instructor training.
- Create and refine learning pathways tailored to diverse learner populations.
- Utilize technology and data analytics to optimize instructional delivery and measure program impact.
- Conduct research and integrate emerging trends to position TCP as a leader in workforce learning innovation.
Performance & Impact Measurement
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess program success, learner outcomes, and overall organizational impact.
- Oversee the evaluation of teaching methods, cohort performance, and curriculum quality.
- Lead efforts to collect, analyze, and report data to inform strategic decision-making.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Convene regular team meetings and provide reflective supervision, coaching, and professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners, including industry leaders, academic institutions, and funders.
Partnerships & Resource Development
- Lead TCP funding efforts to secure $1 million annually.
- Lead all proposal development and partnership cultivation to secure program sustainability and growth.
- Develop and manage public-private partnerships that advance workforce development innovation at scale.
Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Business Development, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in workforce or educational program leadership in the nonprofit, public, and/or private sector.
- 7+ years of experience in advanced industry or government roles supporting workforce development or related initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and workforce education.
- Proficiency in project management, data analysis, and performance evaluation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive innovation, manage change, and build strong ecosystem networks.
- Experience developing and managing successful public-private partnerships, domestically and internationally.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with technology-focused workforce programs.
- Experience designing inclusive, scalable education and training models.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in digital learning and upskilling.
