Workforce Development Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are coordinating volunteer engagements, providing opportunities for our students to learn from, and engage with, technology, IT professionals, and other leaders in the community to support their growth while in our workforce programs. The Program Coordinator will work to support our programs and students as they make meaningful career changes.
Position Location
This position will share time in our Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, DE classrooms, with some local or regional travel as needed to support our programs and events.

This is a full-time, exempt position with full benefits and a salary commensurate with experience.?
Duties and Responsibilities
Volunteer Coordination
- Lead coordination of volunteers, volunteer logistics, and coordination across local programs.
- Assist with the recruitment of volunteer partners, respond to volunteer interest, maintain relationships with, and identify appropriate volunteers and solicit needed volunteers for Lunch and Learns, mentoring, and Friday Sessions and other volunteer engagement activities.
- Maintain regular contact with volunteers, acknowledging their contributions, and identifying ways to grow engagement.?
- Bridge student and classroom program needs with volunteer and funder needs.
- Prioritize volunteer opportunities based on essential partnerships.
- Attend community outreach events for program engagement to identify employer engagement, student and alumni support, and volunteer support.
- Support volunteers to deliver “Friday Session” professional and life-skills trainings.
- Interface with and support the mentor/mentee relationship during program delivery.
- Develop and deliver mentorship training sessions across all programs
- Provide consultation, support, and wraparound resources to address the needs of students and make referrals to the appropriate resources both internal and external.?
- Support ITWorks course activity as needed, such as regular appearances at orientation, graduation, and during course delivery to build relationships with the participants and instructors.
- Schedule and deliver individual support meetings with each participant throughout the course delivery.
- Review student notes via Individual Service Strategy conversations; raise concerns, address issues, or identify improvements as needed
- Support the student selection process by participating in Group and Individual interviews and by providing feedback on candidates.
- Support student recruitment efforts by engaging prospective students, participating in outreach activities, and collaborating with internal teams to promote program awareness and increase enrollment.
- Support onboarding students in ITWorks by assisting in collecting documents, demographic data, and other information as dictated by grant criteria.
- Lead coordination of special events, graduations, and meetings.
- Coordinate booking of facility space within all programs.
- Track student documents, student data, phone calls, and log information into databases, etc. in a timely manner.
- Ensure quality program data is up to date, respond to grant data requests as necessary, including providing student success stories, database updates, and pulling reports.
- Protect privacy information while in compliance with Tech Impact's policies and procedures.
- Ensure student and volunteer data are clean, complete, and entered in a timely manner.
