Responsibilities

  • Volunteer recruitment: Grow our volunteer base of highly-skilled digital experts through targeted organic and paid marketing channels, as well as an optimized sign-up experience.
  • Volunteer nurture: Nurture our talented volunteer base toward joining digital projects that align their skills with candidates in critical political races who need websites, email marketing, digital ads, and more. Ensure timely staffing of volunteers on well-matched projects to drive exceptional results.
  • Volunteer onboarding and training: Develop and deliver valuable, engaging content and training materials to help our skilled volunteers get up to speed started quickly and deliver excellent work for our candidates while enjoying their experience
  • Volunteer and staff education: Expand and update our extensive wiki / knowledge base with timely, valuable content, serving as a crucial information source for our volunteers and staff about how TFC and our projects work.
  • Knowledge and best practice sharing: Coordinate across the DCS team to help them share timely information and best practices across our numerous projects, Innovate on how we package and share insights to leverage the huge volume of learnings gained during an election cycle.
  • Operational enhancements: Find areas of opportunity for TFC to improve how we operate – both internally and on candidate projects – to increase the volume of high-quality projects we can deliver.
  • Learning engine: Gather and distill insights about our programs to inform and iterate on our Learning Engine so that it best serves the needs of volunteers and staff.
  • Performance optimization: Monitor, track, and analyze the performance of your activities to constantly optimize targeting, increase the value of your work, and prioritize initiatives.
  • Project management: Manage certain types of digital projects for candidates, as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in acquisition marketing, demand generation, or a related field
  • Proven understanding of lead nurture or lifecycle / relationship marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing automation and CRM software, preferably Hubspot
  • Volunteer or people management experience required, community-building experience is a plus
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to relentlessly prioritize, juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously, and switch tasks without dropping others
  • Highly self-motivated problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Mature and collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with all kinds of people.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights and optimizations. You measure and manage KPIs aggressively to align with TFC’s strategic objectives, focusing on the biggest drivers of value.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
