About Tarjimly
Tarjimly is a tech nonprofit on a mission to eliminate language barriers for people seeking access to critical services. Through our mobile app, we connect those in need with a global community of volunteer translators and interpreters—instantly, securely, and for free. We also provide professional language access services to a wide range of organizations (nonprofits, employers, schools, hospitals, law offices, government agencies, etc.)
About The Role
We are seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Chief Growth Officer to lead Tarjimly’s revenue and growth functions. This new executive will oversee our Sales and Outreach teams with a mandate to scale both earned revenue and impact. The person filling this new role will collaborate closely with our CEO and the rest of the executive team to shape Tarjimly’s future as a financially self-sufficient mission-driven organization.
This role is ideal for someone with deep B2B sales expertise – especially those who have worked in or have experience selling to healthcare, education, or legal services providers where language access is not just helpful but essential. This role will start as a C-suite leader with a clear path to a Co-CEO position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Driving Revenue Growth
- Own and optimize B2B sales strategy for high-margin services (e.g, professional interpretation hotline, simultaneous interpretation)
- Lead enterprise client acquisition, partnerships, and full-cycle sales execution
- Coach, scale, and systematize sales operations with accountability to growth KPIs
Scaling Outreach & Impact
- Direct outreach efforts to expand access to our free and subsidized platform among humanitarian and immigrant-serving organizations
- Help grow our global network of NGO partners and users through innovative strategies
- Align outreach and product adoption with overall revenue and impact goals
Supporting Fundraising Efforts
- Collaborate with the fundraising team and CEO on select donor and funder relationships
- Provide strategic input on grant proposals and storytelling when relevant
- Focus the majority of your time on earned revenue, with fundraising as a supportive function
Organizational Leadership
- Actively contribute to leadership and decision-making alongside the CEO and executive team
- Shape and steward the culture, systems, and strategy of a globally distributed, fast-moving nonprofit tech startup
Represent Tarjimly externally with charisma, credibility, and values-alignment
Desired Experience & Skills
- 7+ years in B2B sales, business development, or growth strategy—especially in mission-aligned enterprises, SaaS, or services for nonprofits/governments
- Proven track record of revenue generation and team leadership, ideally in startup, tech-for-good, or hybrid models
- Experience managing client pipelines, sales cycles, and CRM systems—with a love for data and iteration
- Strong people management skills, with experience training and motivating distributed teams
- A strategic mind and a hands-on work ethic—equally at home closing deals or refining systems
- Deep alignment with mission-first work, cross-cultural collaboration, and humanitarian values
- (Bonus) Experience with sales to healthcare, education, or legal service providers, fundraising, social enterprise models, or the global aid ecosystem
