About Tarjimly: Tarjimly is a 501c3 nonprofit established in 2017 with a mission to eliminate language barriers for refugees, immigrants, and humanitarians. We accomplish this through our Tarjimly mobile app, connecting individuals with a vast network of 50,000+ volunteer translators for on-demand language support. Our team is global, passionate, and operates entirely remotely, dedicated to making a significant impact in the lives of those we serve.
Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee our organization's financial operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing Tarjimly's finances, including audits, payments, budget updates, and managing subscriptions, as well as some HR related tasks including managing staff leave, contract renewal, and reimbursements. This position requires a candidate who is adept in finance, capable of navigating the unique challenges of a global nonprofit environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare regular financial updates for the CEO and possibly other managers.
Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process and monthly and annual tax filing and compliance.
Setup and review payments including those to team members and translators.
Handle subscriptions and insurance (including non profit discount negotiation), invoicing, and reimbursements.
Maintain highly accurate financial records and compliance with financial regulations.
Oversee the tracking of employee leaves, including vacation and sick days.
Document processes with video tutorials.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
Experience in financial management and high attention to detail and trustworthiness with funds.
Good understanding of US accounting principles and financial compliance. Bonus for experience with US nonprofits specifically.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in accounting software, ideally Quickbooks and Google Sheets.
Excellent and proactive communication skills.

Passionate about humanitarian efforts, particularly in addressing language barriers.
Employment Details:
Full-time remote position.
Flexible hours with responsiveness to messages and emails during EST working hours.
Team Meetings: Bi-weekly on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11am EST.
Salary range: Commensurate with experience and location.
Benefits include 21 days PTO/year accrued monthly.
