Scope of Role

Tarjimly is being used by 3,600 Aid Workers from 900+ organizations all around the world. We have a pool of over 45,000 translators who generously donate their time to support these organizations. Our beneficiaries use Tarjimly to get help translating for refugees, asylum seekers, displaced people, or giving some food to the homeless. When an organization plans to set up a humanitarian task, they often face language barriers and Tarjimly was designed to remove those barriers.
Since we started Tarjimly, we relied heavily on social media marketing and building partnerships to reach people. Social media has been an incredible tool to reach Translators as well as single aid workers and we want to double our efforts with a focus on higher quality and more rare language pairs. In addition, it is important for us to clearly and effectively communicate the impact we are creating with our community partners and beneficiaries.
The focus of this role is to own our social media platforms to drive new content and growth. More specifically:
Curate and post engaging content about Tarjimly, including news articles and designed graphics, gifs, and videos - operate with creative freedom
Operate on a consistent basis to help achieve our growth benchmarks week over week.
Leverage high impact Tarjimly sessions to build Tarjimly Stories and create content that can be shared
Partner with the Growth Hacker and marketing teammates to support:
partnerships with macro and micro-influencers that advocate for refugees around the world and reaching out to cross-promote content that will drive growth.
outreach material for marketers and translators informing them about Tarjimly and how it can be helpful for their work and a great volunteer opportunity.
deep dive with our social media advertising budget to bring laser focus to our targeting and conversion for high value language pairs.
Design infographic, explainer, or newsy imagery/gifs/videos describing the impact of Tarjimly that can be used in marketing campaigns.
