Developers and companies around the world build on it, and the SDF team is expanding to support the rapidly growing and changing Stellar ecosystem.

We’re seeking a contractor to support the Stellar Community Fund Build Award. This role will manage core operational tasks such as project prescreening, feedback editing, payment coordination, and community monitoring. As SCF expands, this part-time position offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities and contribute directly to the program’s growth and impact.

In this role, you will:

• Manage SCF Review Operations: Oversee end-to-end review workflows, from assigning reviewers and coordinating reminders to editing feedback for clarity and maintaining accurate Airtable automations.

• Lead KYC and Compliance Checks: Verify participant identities, update records in Airtable, and resolve any issues in collaboration with legal and project teams.

• Oversee SCF Payments: Create payment requests following KYC approval, coordinate with Finance to schedule and verify test transactions, and ensure final payments are accurate and documented.

• Administer Panelist Payments: Review historical participation data, prepare payment requests, and liaise with Finance to process transactions promptly.

• Produce Round Recaps: Draft and publish SCF round summaries, working with Legal for marketing compliance and sharing final posts on Medium.

You have:

• Proven ability to edit and align written content with established criteria for program communications and feedback.

• Exceptional attention to detail when editing feedback and communicating information.

• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across an organization.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues.

• Effective time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.

• Adaptability to manage a variety of tasks, adjust to shifting priorities, and support both operational and communications needs.

• Ability to clearly and professionally communicate updates, reminders, and support materials via email, Slack, Discord, and other asynchronous channels.

Bonus Points:

• Experience Supporting Grant or Award Programs: Background in assisting with or coordinating operational tasks for grant, fellowship, or award programs — including application intake, evaluation workflows, and grantee communication.

• Working in Fast-Paced, Evolving Program Environments: Proven ability to succeed in dynamic, iterative environments where program structures, goals, or tools evolve quickly - especially in startup, nonprofit, or ecosystem development contexts.

• Detail-Oriented Administrative or Program Coordination Work: Track record of maintaining accurate records, tracking deadlines, and supporting quality assurance for communications, data entries, or reports.

• Basic Familiarity with Web3/Blockchain: Understanding of digital wallets, token transactions, and blockchain-based funding mechanisms, including handling test and live payments.

We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of $40 - $45/hr depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
