Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis

• Conduct research on education trends, policies, and practices relevant to Solve Education!’s programs.
• Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Prepare reports, case studies, and briefs that highlight program outcomes and impact.
• Support the design of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks.

Program Development Support

• Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve existing programs and develop new initiatives.
• Conduct needs assessments, baseline studies, and stakeholder consultations.
• Review and synthesise external research to inform program design and strategy.
• Assist in developing surveys, interview protocols, and other research tools.

Collaboration & Engagement

• Work closely with program teams to integrate research findings into program planning.
• Collaborate with monitoring and evaluation staff, ensuring data collection aligns with research objectives.
• Engage with external stakeholders (universities, NGOs, government) for research collaboration.
• Present findings to both internal teams and external partners in clear, actionable formats.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain organised databases and research records.
• Support grant applications and donor reports with evidence and data.
• Ensure research outputs meet high standards of accuracy and credibility.
• Contribute to publications, presentations, and knowledge-sharing activities.

What We’re Looking For
Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.

Work Experience (at least one of the following)

• Experience in UX research, program research, education research, or monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
• Background in data collection, survey design, or applied research projects.
• Involvement in NGO, education, or community-based program research.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, or similar).
• Good report-writing and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
• Ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.

Other Requirements

• Based in Bandung or willing to relocate to Bandung.
• Willing to travel for field research and data collection.

Additional (Bonus)

• Knowledge of education policies and trends in Indonesia and globally.
• Exposure to edtech research or AI-driven data analysis.
