Position Overview

The Industry Coach for Commercial Real Estate serves as a mentor and career advisor to undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers across the commercial real estate industry. Coaches help students better understand career pathways, develop industry knowledge, strengthen professional skills, and build confidence as they prepare for internships and full-time opportunities.

Industry Coaches play a vital role in expanding students' professional networks while providing real-world insights into the commercial real estate sector.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a small cohort of college students pursuing careers in commercial real estate.
• Host virtual coaching sessions focused on career exploration, industry trends, and professional development.
• Provide guidance on internship and full-time recruiting strategies.
• Review resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation materials.
• Share insights into commercial real estate sectors including acquisitions, asset management, capital markets, development, investment, brokerage, lending, consulting, and real estate finance.
• Introduce scholars to industry resources, organizations, and networking opportunities when appropriate.
• Participate in occasional Seeds of Fortune career panels, workshops, or networking events.
• Encourage students to develop strong professional habits and long-term career goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate or a related field.
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• Real Estate Investment
• Acquisitions
• Asset Management
• Development
• Capital Markets
• Commercial Lending
• Brokerage
• Real Estate Finance
• Real Estate Private Equity
• REITs
• Strong communication and mentorship skills.
• Passion for supporting the next generation of professionals.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
