Role Overview

End-to-end conceptualize and design products and features to create highly engaging, intuitive, and seamless learning experiences that will capture the imagination of 3-8 year old users and other key stakeholders including parents and teachers

Key Responsibilities

• User-research; conduct user-calling, surveys, field visits - this will include traveling to various states across the country
• Market Research; conduct thorough market research to understand the latest trends in UX, gamification, design thinking, etc
• Create engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing UX and UI designs that balance aesthetics with usability and accessibility (including typography, layout, color theory, and composition)
• Driving prototyping and user-testing of designs, collecting feedback and iterating on design basis user feedback
• Prepare detailed design documentation that clearly communicate design ideas and specifications
  
  

Critical Factors for Success

• A strong portfolio showcasing design projects and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant design software
• Ability to think independently and non-linearly; and come up with creative solutions to challenging and novel problems
• Ability to display high ownership and thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced start-up environment
• Ability to empathize with users and design for marginalized groups, low-income families and children
• Experience with creating and implementing design systems and style guides
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers
