Who is a Program Manager - Frontline (Jorhat, Assam)

The Program Manager – Frontline plays a critical role in enabling youth-led civic action on the ground. This role focuses on driving engagement with young people, educational institutions, government and community partners to activate and strengthen networks of Solve Ninjas across Assam.

The Program Manager will lead the planning and execution of programs, workshops, and large-scale engagement initiatives that help young people build problem-solving skills and become active citizens in their communities. The role requires strong facilitation, program management, and stakeholder coordination skills, along with the ability to work closely with teams, government officials and partners in dynamic community settings.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with young people, managing programs end-to-end, building relationships with government partners, and building systems and processes that improve engagement and impact.

What You Will Do

  1. Adolescents & Youth Engagement
  • Engage with students and young adults from diverse backgrounds to activate and nurture networks of Solve Ninjas across schools, colleges, and communities.
  • Facilitate engaging, experiential workshops and problem-solving sessions with youth.
  • Mentor young people in civic leadership, problem-solving, and community action.
  • Support youth in identifying local civic and environmental issues and taking meaningful action.
  1. Event & Program Management
  • Plan and execute events ranging from small group engagements to large-scale youth outreach programs.
  • Coordinate end-to-end event logistics, stakeholder communication, and on-ground execution.
  • Work closely with educational institutions, local partners, government officials and community stakeholders to drive participation and engagement.
  • Ensure timely execution and delivery of program goals and milestones.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among project partners to ensure successful implementation.

4. Financial Management:

  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning for government projects.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.

5. Team & Operational Excellence

  • Identify operational and programmatic challenges and implement improvements to strengthen execution.
  • Collaborate with vertical leads and cross-functional teams to improve program effectiveness and participant experience.
  • Support and guide team members and mentors to deliver high-quality engagement outcomes.
  • Document program activities, participant engagement, and impact data systematically.
  • Leverage Reap Benefit’s tech platforms effectively during sessions and program implementation.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in youth engagement, program management, and community engagement, particularly in government funded projects.
  • Strong facilitation and mentoring skills, especially for youth and adolescents.
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building skills, especially with government officials and educational institutions.
  • Understanding of the government ecosystem and functioning.
  • Experience managing programs or events end-to-end with strong planning and execution capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently in dynamic, fast-paced environments and solve problems proactively.
  • Comfortable with hands-on implementation and field-based work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Assamese is preferred. Knowledge of Hindi or additional regional languages is a plus.
  • Should be based in Jorhat or willing to move to Jorhat.
