Rcoz is looking for a highly organized and resourceful Event Coordinator to manage event logistics and operations. This is currently a volunteer position, but a stipend may be offered after two months depending on funding availability.
This role is ideal for someone skilled in venue coordination, vendor negotiations, and on-site event execution. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a talent for making things happen, we’d love to have you on board!
Location Hybrid (Bay Area, CA - East & South Bay)
Commitment 4 to 6 hours daily (Pacific Time)
Compensation Volunteer role for the first two months; stipend may be available based on funding.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure venues, negotiate food and beverage deals, and manage vendor partnerships.
- Coordinate event logistics, including permits, rentals, and setup.
- Work with sponsors and donors to secure in-kind contributions.
- Manage on-site event setup, ensuring smooth execution.
- Handle event-related communications and follow-ups.
- Must be able to drive and travel to event locations across the East Bay and South Bay.
- Experience in event planning, logistics, or hospitality.
- Strong negotiation and budgeting skills.
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve under pressure.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
- Hybrid role - must be local to the Bay Area (East and South Bay) and able to drive.
- Availability of 4 to 6 hours daily (Pacific Time).
- References required before starting.
