POSITION SUMMARY:
The Rainforest Alliance is looking for a Senior Officer, Quality of Implementation, based in to coordinate with and report to the Manager of Quality of Implementation (QoI) in order to identify challenges related on auditing of social criteria in our certification standard. S/he works in close collaboration with the Country Directors of and South America countries, Customer Success and other QOI staff, to improve social issues related to the implementation and auditing of the Rainforest Alliance 2020 Certification Program.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams (Quality of Implementation, Producer Support, Customer Success, overseas colleagues) and Certification Bodies (CBs) regarding the Supply Chain requirements, policies and rules;
- Provide support and participate in Calibration Meetings with global and regional QoI and CS colleagues to ensure consistent interpretation;
- Reviews and interprets audit results, manual review of Supply Chain Risk Assessments (SCRA), Self-Assessments, endorsements and certificates for Supply Chain Actors (SCA);
- Resolve Freshdesk tickets for CBs, CS & CE&P, within the assigned region;
- Support the delivery of workshops, trainings and webinars for CBs and SCA, based on training needs assessments and existing training modules;
- Contribute to country risk assessments for SCA, using this information to design and implement QoI activities;
- Manage reputational risks and credibility cases to verify compliance, resolving issues and/or making recommendations as needed;
- Provide analysis to the QoI Manager on in-country activities, including audits, non-conformities, and licenses, to evaluate the interpretations of the Standard and certification rules;
- Provide data for the CB Feedback Report, analysing performance data to identify improvement opportunities for CBs and SCA;
- Collaborate with the MTT manual workaround processes;
- Development of context-specific processes and policies as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineer, social sciences or international development or equivalent professional or supply chain activities work experience;
- Knowledge of the challenges of auditing social aspects on voluntary standards;
- Minimum four years of experience on certification systems, on at least one of the major crops like banana, coffee and other fruits;
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, with excellent organizational skills able to independently manage and deliver activities and proactively solve problems with teams and stakeholders;
- Proactive team player with strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, able to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and working knowledge of PowerPoint;
- Fluency verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish;
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel a minimum of 20% per year.
