NOW HIRING: Senior Product Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Product Manager will work within the Product Design team to translate strategic vision into scalable, repeatable product offerings that drive positive impact at scale. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Design, this role is responsible for leading end-to-end product development (from concept through launch) ensuring products meet customer needs, achieve financial viability, and deliver measurable sustainability impact aligned with Rainforest Alliance's mission.

This position requires a strategic, data-driven leader who can navigate complexity, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and deliver innovative solutions that support sustainable markets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Product Strategy & Development

  • Lead the design and continuous improvement of scalable, repeatable product offerings that create standardized bundles with economies of scale
  • Develop and own product roadmaps that align with organizational strategy, customer needs, and market opportunities
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify opportunities and inform product decisions
  • Manage products through the complete Portfolio Stage Gate process, from ideation through launch and iteration

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with the internal teams to translate product designs into technical requirements and ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Work closely with Standards & Assurance, Product Development, Customer Success, Account Management, Communications, and other key functions to ensure product alignment and clear deliverables
  • Lead requirement discussions with business stakeholders, facilitating workshops and ensuring shared ownership
  • Serve as product advocate and communicate progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations to leadership

Product Delivery & Operations

  • Define clear product goals, success metrics, and business cases for product initiatives
  • Manage product budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery
  • Oversee product launches and go-to-market execution in partnership with relevant teams, including presenting and reporting to the internal Go to Market Steering committee
  • Establish and track product performance metrics, conducting post-launch analysis and continuous optimization

Change Management & Impact

  • In partnership with the Implementation team, drive change initiatives related to product development, ensuring smooth adoption and stakeholder buy-in
  • Leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions and validate assumptions through testing
  • Ensure products deliver measurable positive impact in alignment with sustainability and social outcomes


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
:

Required

  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in product management, with proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products from concept to market
  • Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy and vision aligned with organizational goals and market dynamics
  • Stakeholder Management: Expert at leading through influence with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, without direct authority
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to inform decisions and measure outcomes
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with technical, design, operations, and business teams in complex environments
  • Agile & Lean Methodologies: Experience with agile frameworks, design thinking, and lean product development
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences

Preferred

  • Experience in sustainability, international development, certification systems, or supply chain sectors
  • Understanding of data products, digital platforms, or SaaS offerings
  • Experience working in multicultural, global, or nonprofit environments
  • Product management certifications (CSPO, PSPO, PMP, or equivalent)
