Who We Are

Sam Ash LLC, an iconic retailer of musical instruments, pro audio equipment, and DJ gear, is looking for a creative and technically skilled video professional to join our marketing team. If you have a passion for storytelling through visuals, love working with gear, and are excited about creating content that musicians and audio pros actually care about — this might be the perfect gig for you.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a data-driven marketer who lives at the intersection of content, customer experience, and retention strategy. In this role, you’ll own the full lifecycle — from the moment a customer makes their first purchase to turning them into a loyal, repeat buyer. You’ll build campaigns across email, SMS, web, and organic social that feel timely, relevant, and personal. If you love digging into the “why” behind customer behavior and crafting the content that moves people to act, this is your seat.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute email and SMS marketing campaigns — from segmentation and copy to deployment and A/B testing — that drive engagement and repeat purchase behavior.

• Lead website merchandising strategy around product launches and seasonal moments, ensuring homepage, landing pages, and promotional placements are compelling and conversion focused.

• Own and continuously optimize our CRM systems, improving audience segmentation, automation workflows, and customer journey logic to deliver the right message at the right time.

• Build and share regular KPI reports that surface actionable insights across channels — open rates, conversion, CLV, purchase frequency — and use them to sharpen strategy.

• Develop targeted lifecycle campaigns aimed at increasing purchase frequency and growing Customer Lifetime Value across key customer segments.

• Maintain a dynamic content calendar rooted in trend research, competitive analysis, and seasonal opportunity — always thinking one step ahead.

• Partner with Purchasing and Creative teams to develop content that’s not just on-brand, but genuinely relevant and thumb-stopping for our audience.

• Develop and execute an SEO-informed content strategy — including blog posts, landing pages, and on-page optimizations — to drive organic traffic and support long-term discoverability.

• Manage organic social media channels by publishing campaigns, maintaining a consistent posting cadence, and handling light community engagement to keep our audience active and connected.

What You Bring

Requirements:

• You have 3–5 years in lifecycle, retention, or CRM-focused marketing, ideally in a DTC or ecommerce environment.

• You’re hands-on with email and SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar) and know your way around CRM tools.

• You’re analytical — comfortable building reports, interpreting data, and translating numbers into clear strategic recommendations.

• You have a strong creative eye and know how to brief and collaborate with creatives to get great output.

• You’re a natural conversation-starter who can connect with anyone — including the quieter voices in the room. Whether you’re pulling insights out of a buyer about what’s new in the catalog or bonding over gear, you know how to make people open up and turn those conversations into marketing gold.

• You’re a natural cross-functional partner — buying, creative, and digital teams all feel like collaborators, not obstacles.

• You’re a self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving environment, owning projects end-to-end with a bias for action.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Magento or Adobe Commerce.

• You’re a musician or deeply passionate about music — you understand our world and our customers.

• Experience with marketing automation tools and building out complex multi-step workflows.
