As we continue to grow, we are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Corporate Controller.
Who You Are
L.K. McLean Associates, D.P.C. (LKMA) is an 80+person engineering and land surveying firm, which was founded in 1950 with offices in both Suffolk and Nassau County on Long Island. We are seeking Junior Civil Engineers with 0-5 years’ experience to join our Team in office locations in both Suffolk and Nassau Counties. As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will assist in the design, development, and implementation of various civil engineering projects in a broad range of engineering disciplines including Highway and Drainage; Site Design; Coastal & Marine Design; Airport Design, Traffic Signal Design, Construction Inspection and Environmental Engineering & Permitting. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain hands-on experience in the field of civil engineering.
What You'll Do
Potential work tasks may include the following:
- Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects,
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed engineering drawings
- Conduct site visits and inspections to collect design data
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on project plans and timelines
- Perform technical calculations, construction costs estimates and engineering analysis
- Assist in the coordination of construction activities, including reviewing contractor submittals, providing construction inspection and conducting site visits
What You Bring
- 0-5 years’ experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in software such AutoCAD and/or Revit -- a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Salary Range: $72,800 - $104,000
