Who You Are

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems used in capsule and solid dosage manufacturing. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a GMP-regulated environment.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facility/building systems.
  • Analyze mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) according to established schedules.
  • Replace worn or defective parts and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
  • Test equipment after maintenance to verify proper and quality operation.
  • Identify recurring equipment malfunctions and communicate recommended corrective actions to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation in compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Perform basic three-phase electrical troubleshooting.
  • Utilize mechanical skills, including basic machine shop and welding skills, when required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.
  • Comply with all safety, OSHA, and company policies.

What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or Technical School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanic or Maintenance Technician in a pharmaceutical or solid dosage manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment strongly preferred.
  • Facility maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
  • Strong math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary.
  • Ability to lift equipment parts and tools as required.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including overtime and shift transitions when required.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment (solid dosage / capsule production).
  • Exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, and moving parts.
  • Must follow GMP, safety, and regulatory compliance standards at all times.

What We Offer

Compensation: $25-$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
