Description: These interns assist in the live television broadcast of the floor sessions of the Colorado Senate and House of Representatives for The Colorado Channel. Interns would shadow both the director and the producer roles, but specifically would manage the live television broadcast, online streaming of the sessions, as well as the archived videos. The internship presents the opportunity to learn standard broadcast procedures and equipment, including the operation of NewTek Tricasters, robotic cameras, and broadcast servers. Applicants would need to commit to covering the session 2-3 days a week, starting at 8:00am Tuesday-Friday, and/or 9:00 on Mondays. Qualifications: Individuals sought need to be dependable, professional and able to commit to serving the length of the Legislative session (January – mid-May). Computer competence, a background in video/TV production and an interest in state politics are required.
