Nyaaya is an open access, digital resource that provides simple, actionable, reliable and accessible legal information to all Indians, helping them solve day-to-day legal problems and empowering them to seek justice. Launched in November 2016, Nyaaya focuses on making laws accessible for non-lawyers through a platform that offers legal explainers, guides, and resources in multiple formats and languages. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between legal knowledge and the citizens' understanding of their rights, addressing barriers such as lack of awareness, access to information, and financial burdens associated with legal services. Nyaaya collaborates with grassroots organizations and legal experts to create relevant content and support communities in navigating the legal system effectively.
