Eligibility: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to creative writing
Location: 100% remote
Time Commitment: 3 hours/week for 12 weeks each semester

Creative Writing Coaches are the most important part of the Rising Voices Collective program experience at Novelly. The Rising Voices Collective is a list of the Top 50 diverse teenage writers in North America. As part of their year-long program, these students write, get published, and go on a virtual press tour. Creative Writing Coaches act as personal editors and cheerleaders to these students as they turn their ideas into novellas.
Responsibilities include:
Coaching 1 to 3 teenage writers each semester depending on your availability
Editing and adding detailed comments to their weekly writing submissions
Meeting with each writer weekly for 30 minutes
Submitting a brief report on each writer's growth
Attend their final readings for moral support
What are we looking for?
A passion for our mission of amplifying diverse youth voices and building the largest digital library of novellas and poetry written by diverse and talented teenagers
A strong skill set in creative writing, editing, communication, and adhering to deadlines
A highly encouraging and positive coaching and mentorship style
