WHO WE ARE
Noora Health India Private Limited is a key partner in Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones. They develop content, technology platforms, new products, and strengthen other operational functions that support the scale and impact of Noora Health’s programs.
Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.
With support from governments and partners in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal, Noora Health has trained more than 64 million caregivers and patients across 16,400+ facilities using their flagship caregiver education and training curriculum, the Care Companion Program (CCP).
In a cohort of patients, the CCP reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, newborn complications by 16%, and newborn mortality by 18%.
Noora Health is an Audacious Project Grantee and received the Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. To learn more, watch our TED Talk, Skoll feature, or read about our partnership with the World Health Organization.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Noora Health works across India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Nepal, teaching family caregivers the skills they need to care for their loved ones. Our People & Culture team runs the systems that hold a 500-person, four-country organisation together.
This role sits at the join between how our people process and how they feel. About 60% of the work is people operations: the lifecycle, the records, the cycles, the policies, the things that have to be right every time. The other 40% is engagement, internal communications and employer brand.
Communication is the skill we will weigh most heavily. If you write clearly and warmly, without jargon, and you are equally happy inside a tracker at 9am, this role will fit you.
This is a hands-on role. You will be building the thing, sending the note and chasing the detail yourself, not directing others to do it. There is scope to grow a team here as the function grows, but not on day one.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
People and HR operations (about 60%)
- Employee lifecycle operations end to end: onboarding, confirmations, transitions, exits, documentation, letters and records
- The annual people calendar: review cycles, engagement surveys, policy refresh and compliance timelines. You keep it moving and keep managers ahead of it
- Partnering with our People Operations colleagues on payroll inputs, benefits administration and entity-level compliance documentation
- Policy work: drafting, updating and socialising policies so people actually read them and use them
- The trackers and dashboards the team runs on: headcount, lifecycle turnaround times, engagement data and programme budgets
- Vendor and logistics coordination for people programs, including insurance, wellbeing partners, and engagement and event vendors
Engagement, brand and communications (about 40%)
Communication is the sharpest skill we are looking for within this half of the role.
- Internal communications: all-hands content, internal newsletters (the light within), policy and process announcements, leadership messages and Slack.
- The engagement calendar: recognition, milestones, celebrations, wellbeing moments and the new-joiner experience
- Managing ATR’s (Annual Team Retreats), ATM’s (All team meetings) and pulse checks for the Noora Health universe.
- Working with a design team member to produce onboarding kits, campaign assets, one-pagers and decks. You write the brief, give the feedback, and can build a clean deck yourself when you need to
- Employer brand alongside the Talent Acquisition team: careers content, candidate-facing collateral and culture storytelling
- Supporting People leads in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Nepal to adapt engagement and communications for their context, rather than pushing out a Bangalore template
HOW YOU WILL WORK
This is an in-office role based in Bangalore, and it is deliberately close to the ground. You will partner and engage regularly with :
- With our People Leads across different countries of operations: You will partner with the People & Culture and People Operations leads in India, Bangladesh and Indonesia and growing geographies on anything engagement, experience or communications related, and adapt what you build to each context
- With the India people operations team: Day to day, you will work closely with the people operations colleagues here in India on the lifecycle, records and process work that sits in your 60%
- With facilities and country operations teams: Engagement and experience land physically as much as digitally: the office, the event, the setup, the joining kit. You will work directly with facilities and operations colleagues in each country to make things happen, and you will be comfortable getting into that level of detail
- With the brand and design team: Briefing, reviewing and iterating on assets so the work looks as considered as it reads
- With Talent Acquisition team: On employer brand, candidate experience and everything a new joiner sees before day one
We are not looking for someone who works at a distance from the detail. The best person for this role will be as comfortable sorting out a venue or a joining kit as writing an all-hands note.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 6 to 8 years across people operations or HR operations, with communications as a genuine strength rather than something picked up on the side
- You come from a fast-moving organisation where people's practices are taken seriously: a scaling startup, a mission-driven organisation, or a company with a real reputation for employee experience. You have seen what good policy and good process look like
- You write well for different audiences. A policy note, a celebration post and a difficult announcement all sound different, and you know how
- You are rigorous on the operational side. Trackers, checklists, documentation and follow-through are second nature, and things do not slip
- You can brief and partner with a designer, and you have an eye for whether something looks right
- You have worked with distributed or multi-country teams and you are careful about tone across cultures
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, low on ego, and happy doing both the thinking and the doing
Nice to have: exposure to global health or the nonprofit sector; experience with an HRIS such as 15Five or BambooHR; working knowledge of Canva or Figma; a language spoken in one of our geographies.
