WHO WE ARE

Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones. Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.

With support from governments and partners in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal Noora Health has trained more than 35 million caregivers and patients across 12,600+ facilities using their flagship caregiver education and training curriculum, the Care Companion Program (CCP).

In a cohort of patients, the CCP reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, newborn complications by 16%, and newborn readmissions by 56%.

Noora Health was honored as a TED 2022 Audacious Project Grantee and recipient of the 2022 Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. Featuring Edith Elliott and Shahed Alam, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Noora Health’s mission took the spotlight at TED 2022 and was also featured in a 2022 Skoll video.

In 2012, YosAid Innovation Foundation’s Director, Anand Kumar, ​​met and worked closely alongside Noora Health’s co-founders in conceptualizing and prototyping what eventually led to the Care Companion Program (CCP). YosAid is the implementation partner of Noora Health.

YosAid Innovation Foundation improves outcomes and strengthens health systems in India by promoting innovative healthcare practices and skills among patients and their families. In collaboration with healthcare institutions and the government, YosAid Innovation Foundation provides healthcare training and actionable skill-building to patients and family caregivers on health behaviors and information.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Identify and fill internal information gaps along with other impact team members using right-fit evaluation and data collection strategies.
  • Support data quality-collection processes for both qualitative and quantitative data collection.
  • Conduct literature reviews on relevant health topics as and when needed. iConduct data collection training for quantitative and qualitative data collection for the data collectors.
  • Conduct field work and visit the facility at frequent intervals to monitor the data collectors to t ensure quality data is collected for ongoing evaluation activities, including Rayagada, Khandamal. Audio checks the surveys based on the requirement and provide necessary feedback to the data collectors for the data quality regularly.
  • Work closely with the research team, program delivery and design team to roll out data collection and implementation of research activities to make our programs better.
  • Project management of the evaluation of CCP from beginning to end.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in health-related fields, social sciences, statistics or other relevant fields.
  • Experience in working with any reputed public health organization.
  • This role is aimed at professionals who are strongly motivated to solve important global health challenges and is dedicated to the social and development sector and health equity.
  • Experience of at least 1-3 years in research roles, which includes but is not limited to data cleaning and data analysis.
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills in English.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Being multilingual is a must. Proficiency in Odia and any other Indian language spoken in the subcontinent is required.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work seamlessly as part of a diverse team, including designers, analysts, and educators from India and overseas.
