Noora Health’s mission is to improve outcomes and strengthen health systems by equipping family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones. Founded in 2014, Noora Health turns hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms by tapping into the most compassionate resources available for the patient’s care: their own family.
With support from governments and partners in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal Noora Health has trained more than 35 million caregivers and patients across 12,600+ facilities using their flagship caregiver education and training curriculum, the Care Companion Program (CCP).
In a cohort of patients, the CCP reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, newborn complications by 16%, and newborn readmissions by 56%.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone who loves words—and knows the power they hold to move people, shift mindsets, and make complex ideas feel simple and human.
As Senior Associate – Creative Content & Translation, you’ll be at the heart of how we communicate with families and caregivers—many of whom are navigating big health decisions with limited information or support. You'll craft messages that are clear, kind, and rooted in empathy. And you’ll make sure those messages are just as impactful when translated into multiple Indian languages.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in communication or creative writing, who’s also interested in how content works across languages, teams, and formats.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Write content that speaks to people
- Develop creative, easy-to-understand content for caregivers—whether it’s for handouts, flipcharts, WhatsApp messages, IVRS, or posters.
- Work closely with our medical and design teams to turn health information into simple, useful, and engaging materials.
- Keep the audience front and center: write with warmth, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
Test, listen, and improve
- Support user testing of content with caregivers, patients and stakeholders to understand what works—and what doesn’t.
- Review similar health communication materials to gather ideas and best practices.
- Help document messaging strategies, lessons learned, and what we’re seeing in the field.
Help our content reach across languages
- Coordinate translations into Indian languages like Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia and other regional languages.
- Work directly with our translators and medical reviewers to ensure the final output is accurate, clear, and emotionally resonant.
- Review translations with an eye for tone, flow, and cultural context—not just word-for-word accuracy.
Collaborate across teams
- Work closely with translators, designers, medical reviewers, and other teams to ensure messaging is aligned.
- Be the go-to person for translation workflows—helping things run smoothly, keeping timelines on track, and making sure quality stays high.
Support the team to grow
- Onboard new translators and reviewers, share feedback, and help build their skills.
- Support systems like glossaries, checklists, and style guides so the whole team can work more consistently.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in writing, editing, translation, or communication —ideally in public health, development, or social impact.
- A degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Literature, or a related field.
- Excellent writing skills in English. Fluency in Hindi is essential. Knowledge of any additional Indian language is a definite advantage.
- A warm, collaborative working style—and a deep belief in making health information truly accessible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with content, translation, or language teams; ability to support or coordinate team efforts when needed.
- Familiarity with health communication for low-literacy audiences or public health/ development campaigns is desirable.
- An understanding of how socio-cultural context shapes health behavior and language across different regions in India is desirable.
