Nilus is virtualizing the food rescue industry. Its mission is to create affordable and healthy food markets for low income people and to provide a yield management and social impact tool for enterprises. Nilus created a marketplace and logistical solution to manage offerings of products at discounted prices to low income communities. Nilus is currently operating in Argentina, where over 2.5 million meals have been delivered and users of the platform include Walmart, Granja Tres Arroyos and Buenos Aires Central Market, and in Puerto Rico, where a pilot project was launched with partners including Marriott international and Clinton Foundation. Nilus has gone through Parallel 18's acceleration program and Harvard Innovation Lab and raised 900.000 USD including grants and investments.
