Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF) is a nonprofit on a mission to ensure that every U.S. high school student takes a personal finance course before they graduate (Mission 2030). We provide free, high-quality curriculum, professional development, and support to educators and school district partners nationwide, helping them teach students how to manage money and make informed financial decisions.

More than 150,000 educators use NGPF resources, and our market size is expected to triple in the next several years as 20 new states are requiring students to take a personal finance course as a result of our advocacy efforts.

We are a small but mighty team that values collaboration and a shared commitment to expanding access to financial education. Our work is fast-paced, meaningful, and driven by the impact we can have on the next generation.

The next chapter of NGPF's growth depends on organizing our most passionate educators into a national force: presenting at conferences, leading professional development, and advocating for personal finance education in the 20 states that have yet to guarantee the course.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager of the Teacher Ambassador Program will build, develop, and mobilize a national network of NGPF Ambassador teachers: experienced, credible educators who extend NGPF's reach far beyond what our staff of ~22 could accomplish alone. You will identify the right teachers, equip them with training and resources, match them to high-impact opportunities, and celebrate their leadership.

This is a role for a collaborative builder. You will inherit a deep bench of engaged teachers (FinCamp attendees, Fellows, award winners, certification completers), and turn their enthusiasm into a structured, high-performing ambassador program with clear expectations, strong support, and measurable impact.

You will work alongside and report to NGPF’s Director of Teacher Success, but collaborate across the organization.

Your signature project in year one: serving as project manager for the NGPF Teacher Ambassador Conference in Atlanta in March 2027, a ~200-person national gathering that will be the Ambassador program's launch pad.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Build and develop the Ambassador network

• Design the program structure: selection criteria, expectations, tiers, stipends/recognition, and annual cycle
• Recruit a strong founding cohort of Ambassador teachers from NGPF's most engaged educators, with attention to geographic coverage (priority for implementation and advocacy states)
• Create onboarding, training, and ongoing development materials to help Ambassadors confidently represent NGPF (presentation skills, talking points, advocacy training, media readiness, etc.)
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for Ambassadors: regular communication, community building, and recognition

Deploy Ambassadors for impact

• Manage a calendar of state and national conferences (JumpStart, CEE, state business/FCS/social studies conferences) and coordinate Ambassador attendance and presentations on behalf of NGPF
• Coordinate Ambassador-led professional development in their own districts and neighboring districts, working with our PD team on content and quality
• Source and staff panel, media, and speaking opportunities that match Ambassadors' expertise
• Support Ambassador participation in state house advocacy (testimony, advocacy days, legislator meetings) in the 20 states without a personal finance guarantee, in coordination with NGPF's advocacy team
• Identify new opportunities for or models of Ambassador engagement that advance NGPF’s mission and align with organizational goals
• Own end-to-end execution of the inaugural Ambassador conference (March 2027) to set program culture, train the founding Ambassador cohort, and launch the year's Ambassador engagement plan
• Collaborate with NGPF’s Directors of Professional Development and Teacher Success on program goals

Lead the Ambassador program like an operator

• Track everything: activations, presentations delivered, teachers reached, districts served, advocacy touchpoints
• Manage program budget, including travel, stipends, and event costs
• Report on program impact and continuously improve based on Ambassador and audience feedback
• Identify operational improvements, opportunities to automate, and build repeatable systems to scale what works

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

• You will report to: Director of Teacher Success
• You will collaborate with: Professional Development, Teacher Success, Advocacy, and teams across the organization

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years of experience in education, edtech, or nonprofit program management; classroom teaching experience is a strong plus
• Proven event or conference project management experience (you have run complex, multi-stakeholder events and sweat the details)
• A natural community builder who earns teachers' trust quickly and makes volunteers feel valued
• Strong facilitator and communicator, comfortable presenting to educators, administrators, and policymakers
• Organized and self-directed; you can manage dozens of simultaneous relationships, deadlines, and travel logistics without dropping balls
• Willingness to travel (roughly 15-20%, including some weekends for conferences)
• Passion for NGPF's mission of financial education for all students

WHY THIS ROLE

This is a rare chance to build a national program from the ground up at the organization leading the personal finance education movement. You will own a visible, high-impact portfolio, work directly with senior leadership, and develop skills across community building, event management, professional development, and policy advocacy. As the Ambassador program grows, so does this role.

JOB DETAILS

• Salary: $100K - $115K, commensurate with experience
• Benefits: A comprehensive benefits package includes, but is not limited to: health insurance, 401(k) matching contribution, 18 paid vacation days (on top of company-wide holidays), 12 weeks of paid parental leave, and various additional benefits.
• Job location: This role is open to candidates across the United States. NGPF has an office in Burlingame, CA. If you are located within 50 miles of Burlingame, you will be expected to work in a hybrid capacity with two in-office days per week. Candidates outside of this area will work fully remote.
• Travel: Roughly 15-20%, including some weekends for conferences
• Target start date: October 1st, 2026
