How You Fit Into New Story's Mission and Strategy

New Story creates market-based solutions to make land and home ownership possible for underserved families in LATAM. Through an innovative land-first approach, we transform unutilized land into thriving communities, reducing development timelines from 10+ years to 2 years.

As a Design Intern (Part-Time) based in Mexico City, you will support creative projects across the entire organization, primarily focusing on marketing assets in the community & housing journey (WhatsApp & social media posts, flyers, informational booklets, experiential event design, etc.) with the opportunity to contribute to fundraising pitch assets, donor/investor gifts and experiences. Working closely with our Marketing & Communications team, you will help ensure all design work is empowering, impactful, and aligned with New Story’s brand.

Responsibilities:

You’ll collaborate with and support our Marketing & Communications team on projects such as:

  • Designing social media graphics and digital campaign assets

  • Supporting brand storytelling through presentations, flyers, and reports

  • Assisting with layout and production for family-facing materials

  • Creating visual concepts that align with New Story’s brand identity

  • Helping maintain design systems and asset libraries

Qualifications:

  • Graduate students in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related fields are strongly preferred, though exceptional undergraduate candidates will also be considered.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, Google Suite

  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong eye for typography and layout

  • Excited about social impact, housing, and mission-driven storytelling

  • Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

  • Bilingual English–Spanish (written and spoken), able to work effectively with an international team

Reporting Structure: This role will report to our Senior Design and Experience Manager.

Location: Mexico City (Hybrid)

Compensation: $225 MXN/hour for up to 20 hours/week
