Purpose of the role
As a Senior Compensation and Benefits (C&B) & Payroll Analyst, this role is the guardian of fairness and equity, ensuring that every team member is recognized for their unique contributions and talents and paid timely and accurately at all times.
The role goes beyond mere numbers and spreadsheets; it centers on understanding the aspirations and needs of our diverse workforce. By conducting in-depth market research and analyses, it enables us to seamlessly offer competitive and attractive compensation packages that draw top talent to our organization and encourage our current employees to remain committed for the long term.
Senior C&B & Payroll Analyst’s attention to detail and deep knowledge and understanding of international payroll and C&B practices allows us to stay compliant with local regulations, maintain correct and accurate data, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of the assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Administration and Management:
- Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping and control in all payroll systems.
- Oversee the timely processing of payroll, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
- Verify the accuracy of payroll calculations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security of payroll information.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure accurate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
2. C&B Management and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive salary and benefits market research to stay competitive.
- Provide recommendations for salary bands and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent.
- Manage salary adjustments, including COLA (Cost of Living Allowance) calculations.
- Engage in forward-looking planning, including budgeting and total cost analysis.
- Analyze and benchmark payroll solutions, Employer of Record (EOR), staff leasing, and other options across multiple markets.
- Collaborate with the HR Director, HR and Finance teams to arrive at consistent and practical solutions, even in ambiguous circumstances and situations with opposing strong perspectives.
3. Reporting & Compliance:
- Generate HR and Finance reports related to headcount, payroll, and compensation.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, ensuring adherence and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Stay updated with changing employment laws and regulations, and ensure company compliance.
4. PEO & Systems Management:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with payroll partners, including Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) and vendors.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance existing processes and best practices related to C&B and payroll administration.
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams to implement and optimize payroll and compensation systems.
5. Regulatory Guidance:
- Provide guidance and recommendations to the organization regarding changes in employment regulations.
- Identify potential risks associated with regulatory changes and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation/Payroll Professional) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, international payroll administration, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations of more than 1 country.
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills that extend into awareness of cross-cultural dynamics of a company and team that is operating across multiple time zones.
- Ability to contribute to solutions to challenges even in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
This is a full-time remote position. Relocation assistance is not available and compensation is competitive for the market the candidate is based in.
